Some general information about the cottages

(Move your mouse over the map to identify the cottages.)
We have six cottages sleeping from 5 to 10 guests, and there are a number of things which are common to all of them, which are given below.
All of the cottages are fully equipped with all the things that we wanted when we went on holiday in self catering cottages. All are provided with a full range of crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment. All the bed linen, towels and duvets are provided, and cots and high chairs are available upon request. All we ask is that you bring towels for beach use with you.
All of the cottages have washer/dryer machines and microwaves. Roundhouse and Stables have separate fridges and freezers, while the others have fridges.
All have colour TVs, video recorders and multi-region DVD players. We have a small supply of Videos and DVDs, which are available for loan.
All the cottages have full oil fired central heating with thermostatic valves on all of the radiators. But additionally, all except Drovers Barn and Shepherds Fold have wood burning stoves, for which we have a significant supply of logs – just look at the number of trees around us. The first basket of logs comes for free, but after that we reserve the right to ask you to cut and split your own!!
The cottages are all supplied with pure water from our own bore hole, which is regularly tested.
All of the cottages have picnic tables and sunshade umbrellas for use outside and a barbeque is available upon request.
There are 20 acres surrounding the cottages with a horse, two ponies, two donkeys, two pigs and some Angora goats in some of the fields and some very free range chickens, which roam around the place normally looking for breakfast from the cottages. Providing the chickens are laying, we normally have eggs from our Free Range hens for sale.
All our visitors are are provided with a complimentary Cream Tea on arrival, although at Christmas it is usually mince pies.
We try to do our bit for the environment and we are members of the Cornwall Sustainable Tourism Network. We are also awaiting grading from the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
Providing we are given some notice, Jenny will bake bread (brown /white /granary / wholemeal) to order or various scones, and muffins.
For the comfort of all our guests we ask you not to smoke inside the cottages.
