Cycling in North Cornwall

Cycling on the Camel trail Cornwall offers the cyclist a great variety of cycling from quiet country lanes, which wander through picturesque villages and ancient harbours, to more challenging off-road routes, which explore the depths of the Cornish countryside. From the lazy Camel Trail, which is ideal for those with young children, to the challenging coastal road, which follows the North Cornwall coastline and provides some of the steepest gradients in the County.

The variety of coastal, moorland and valley trails in North Cornwall is ideal for cycling. The most well known route is the Camel Trail, running 17 car-free miles from Bodmin through Wadebridge to Padstow along the beautiful Camel Valley.

They include the full route map for SUSTRANS Route 3 (Bristol/Bath to Padstow) and a number of routes in the Bude/Holsworthy area. For those who like it rougher, Cardinham Woods offers miles of off-road tracks and trails.
